At H.E.E., our DJs start reading the room the moment we arrive. Even during sound check, we’ll warm up by playing to the staff setting up your day.
During your ceremony, we’re already observing—scoping out age ranges and guessing high school years to get a sense of what songs might resonate. At cocktail hour, we either run a curated playlist or actively mix upbeat genres to see how your guests respond.
By the time dinner begins, we’ve built a game plan. Unless you’ve given us a playlist, we’ll curate one on the spot based on what we’ve seen and heard. Dinner usually starts light and gradually ramps up in energy—priming your guests for the dance floor and creating a natural flow to the evening.
Aside from the formalities (which you should 100% choose yourself), you can be as hands-on or as hands-off with music selection as you’d like. Either way, our focus is crafting a night that feels seamless, engaging, and unforgettable.

There’s simply too much amazing music out there to stick to the same Top 100 wedding songs from the last 50 years. Where most non-club DJs might play 80 songs in four hours, our DJs will run through closer to 200. That means more variety, more energy, and a much higher chance every guest hears songs they love—keeping the dance floor packed all night..
